Garrynlassa Fort in Glennaskehy, County Galway, is a subcircular rath measuring thirty metres east to west and twenty-eight metres north to south, built as an early medieval homestead for a family of local standing. Quarrying has bitten into the western bank and modern gaps punctuate the perimeter for livestock or machinery, yet surrounding field banks still frame the ancient earthwork within the living grassland. The fort remains visible and inhabited by change, its boundary compressed but unbroken, holding its shape against centuries of use and neglect.

On a S-facing slope in grassland. Subcircular rath (30m E-W; 28.2m N-S), in fair condition, defined by a bank. Several modern gaps are evident and quarrying has encroached upon the enclosing element at W. A series of modern field banks surround the monument.
