Gallowshill Dungarvan County Waterford is a large defensive motte or earthen castle site possibly dating from around the 12th century.
Gallows Hill is roughly 60 meters high and consists of glacial till and underlying Carboniferous limestone. The site is historically significant as a medieval defensive structure, possibly used by Anglo-Norman settlers in the 12th century.
