Gallaun is a tall standing stone in Glanleam, County Kerry, trapped inside a much younger earthwork called Cromwell's Fort. The prehistoric upright predates the fort by millennia, creating a strange layer where ancient stone accepts a later boundary without explanation. It still stands upright after centuries of shaking, supported by packing stones and a leaning slab that may have been added only after visitors noticed its instability.

In rough grazing, on N-facing slope. Stone (H 1.15m; 0.7m x 0.5m) is rectangular in plan, long axis E-W. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
