What is recorded here

Gallán is a vanished standing stone buried beneath Cork pasture, evading even the careful pens of 1842 and 1904. It likely waits beneath the grass on a north-facing slope, holding forgotten shape while cattle graze above its hidden head. The land keeps its secret, demanding imagination rather than sight to picture the stone that once pierced the sky.
