What is recorded here

Gallán is a two-metre recumbent stone beside the Rylane River in County Cork, its long axis pointing northeast to southwest. It lies in open pasture rather than a crowded chamber, inviting people to wonder whether it marked a boundary, a meeting place or a forgotten story. The river has run past it since before human memory, carrying rain from the hills and reflecting sky at dusk.
