Gallan is a triangular standing stone in West Cork, aligned northwest to southeast on a south-facing pasture slope. It stands seventy centimetres tall, broad enough to mark a line across the land but small enough to be overlooked by someone in a hurry. That contrast gives it life: great enough to remember, quiet enough to hide in plain sight.
