What is recorded here

Gallán is a two-metre standing stone in County Cork pasture, its rectangular body catching eastern light while four small depressions mark its south face. It has watched sheep move and storms pass for longer than memory holds, steady as a buried heartbeat. People may have gathered there to measure shadow, tell stories or simply sit with the weight of the sky. The stone does not need explanation; it offers presence.

In pasture, on E-facing slope. Stone (H 2.1m; 1.6m x 0.4m) is rectangular in plan, long axis N-S. Four small circular depressions, probably natural, on S face.
