Gallán was a standing stone in County Cork, Ireland, bearing ogham markings according to local story. It stood on a south-facing slope beside another possible stone until people removed and buried it around 1944. The pasture has since swallowed the marker, leaving behind a hidden line of symbols and a sudden absence where stone once touched the sky.
