What is recorded here

Gallán is a standing stone in County Cork, Ireland. It stands half a metre wide and a metre and a half tall on a south-west facing slope, hidden from older maps but still visible in pasture. Its long edge points north-south like a needle dropped into green earth.

Not shown on 1842 and 1904 OS 6-inch maps. In pasture, on SSW-facing slope. Stone (H 1.5m; 0.73m x 0.5m) is subrectangular in plan, long axis N-S.
