What is recorded here

Gallán was a single standing stone outside the southeast side of a ringfort in County Cork. It appeared on the 1940 map but vanished before anyone recorded its loss. The land keeps that absence clean, offering no crack, hole or shadow to mark the place where the stone stood.

Not shown on 1842 and 1903 OS 6-inch maps. Marked as single standing stone outside SE side of ringfort (8373) on 1940 OS 6-inch map. Removed; no visible surface trace.
