What is recorded here

Gallán was a single standing stone on an east-facing slope in County Cork, visible only on the 1939 map before disappearing without trace. It may have marked a boundary, a burial, or a moment when someone stopped to look at the horizon. Now the pasture holds no stone at all, only the shape of its absence.
