What is recorded here

Gallán is a 1.2m standing stone in Mid Cork, invisible on 1842 and 1904 maps yet still blocking pasture on a north-facing slope. Its subrectangular body and possible northern support stones suggest deliberate placement rather than casual rockfall. The absence from official records does not diminish its presence; it simply reserves the stone for people willing to look without demanding that the world explain itself.
