What is recorded here

Gallán is a subrectangular standing stone in County Cork, Ireland. It stands 2.1m tall on a NE-facing pasture slope, aligned NE-SW. The stone escaped the 1842 and 1904 Ordnance Survey maps, yet it still marks the land. People may have passed it for centuries before surveyors drew a single line.
