What is recorded here

Gallán was a standing stone on a west-facing slope in County Cork, marked on maps in 1938 but erased before modern records closed. It stood in pasture, visible enough to survey yet absent enough to vanish without a scar. The land keeps its own calendar, taking back what it wants when it wants it.

Not shown on 1842 and 1904 OS 6-inch maps. Marked as single standing stone on 1938 OS 6-inch map. In pasture, on W-facing slope. Removed; no visible surface trace.
