What is recorded here

Gallán is a 1.6m standing stone in Mid Cork pasture, absent from both the 1842 and 1903 survey maps. It leans ENE-WSW like a forgotten marker, the kind of stone people pasted prayers onto or dropped coins for luck before leaving. Its shape is plain, but its absence from official records suggests it belonged to someone who never asked permission to be remembered.

Not shown on 1842 and 1903 OS 6-inch maps. In pasture, c. 50m to SE of standing stone (CO061-059001-). Stone (H 1.6m; 0.94m x 0.18m) is subrectangular in plan, long axis ENE-WSW.
