Gallán is a 3.1m rectangular standing stone in County Cork pasture, leaning south with its long axis pointing east-northeast. It has watched the north-facing slope and surrounding fields since before human memory, perhaps marking a boundary, a meeting place, or a warning about the land itself. The stone's quiet presence suggests people once gathered here, read omens in its shadow, or simply recognized that some places demand attention without explanation.
