Three stones stood on the north-facing slope in 1842, marked Gallauns on the survey map. By 1900 only two remained visible, and now the pasture holds no trace at all. Whatever Gallain was, it gave way to grass and forgetting. The stones did not break or leave; they stopped being seen.
