What is recorded here

Galláin was one of two standing stones in County Cork, Ireland, separated by about sixty metres, but the eastern stone has vanished without a surface trace. Its absence turns the surviving pair into a broken sentence, inviting wonder about the hands, hunger or belief that moved stone and soil.

Not shown on 1842 and 1904 OS 6-inch maps. Marked on 1938 OS 6-inch map as more E of two stones (CO051-048001-), c. 60m apart. Removed; no visible surface trace.
