What is recorded here

Galláin was a standing stone in Cork pasture, marked on the 1938 map but absent from earlier ones, now removed without a visible trace. It stood on a south-facing slope near two other stones, waiting for people who have stopped looking for it. Forgetting is not the same as losing; it is only the chance to remember elsewhere.

Not shown on 1842 and 1904 OS 6-inch maps. Marked on 1938 OS 6-inch map as more W of two stones (CO051-048002-) c. 60m apart. In pasture, on S-facing slope. Removed; no visible surface trace.
