Anomalous stone group

In pasture. Group of three stones: first stone (H 1.35m; 1m x 0.5m) stands 0.4m from and parallel to second stone (H 0.85m; 1.6m x 0.7m); long axes SE-NW and SSE-NNW, respectively. Third stone lies adjacent to these to NW but is almost completely grass-covered. Site heavily overgrown with briars. Hartnett (1939, 116) recorded two standing stones. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
