What is recorded here

Galláin holds two quartzite stones facing each other across a narrow gap in a Cork valley, large enough to frame a doorway but never built into one. They have watched weather, livestock and forgotten feet pass between them for centuries. A person may have stood in that gap at sunrise, marking time or simply enjoying the company of stone. The valley still opens northeast, inviting light and memory into its quiet mouth.

In pasture, on floor of narrow valley opening to NE. Two quartzite conglomerates, aligned NNE-SSW, stand 1.2m apart; overall length is 3.7m. NE stone is 1.2m L, 0.9m T and 1.15m H.
