What is recorded here

Galláin is a vanished standing stone in West Cork, remembered only through absence on a sunny slope. The land holds no mark, yet the name still points to a vertical shape that once cut the sky. Perhaps people passed it without thought, or perhaps they watched shadows move across the pasture at noon. Either way, the stone gave up its body but kept its address.

In pasture on S-facing slope. No visible surface trace. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
