What is recorded here

Galláin is a probable five-stone circle on the south side of a hill overlooking the Lee River valley in County Cork. Two upright stones remain while three others lie displaced along a southern fence, reducing the ancient geometry to a broken suggestion. The western stone rises one metre and the eastern reaches one point one metres, marking a small circle that may have watched river traffic or guided seasonal ritual. Sheep still move through the pasture where human hands first arranged rock against the sky.
