Mammoth boars and battle-tired warriors danced around Fulachta Fian, leaping from hot stone to cold water until the air turned to steam. The field holds two fulachta fiadh and a dried holy well, marking a place where strength was measured in endurance rather than gold.

Grass-covered spread of burnt material on level ground at base of hill. Second fulacht fiadh (CO084-08101) and site of holy well (CO084-08103-) close by. Stream from well now dried up.
