Fulacht Fian

Marked only on the 1940 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a level landscape with a slightly lower basin c. 50m to the E and NE. It was described in 1939 as a mound of chared stones and black earth (dims c. 8m NW-SE; c. 3.5m NE-SW; H c. 0. 8m) (OSFM). It was not visible at ground level in pasture in 1987. Fulacht fia (WX006-025----) is c. 100m to the SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996).
