Fulacht Fiadh are burnt mound sites found throughout Ireland, typically dating to the Middle Bronze Age. They feature horseshoe-shaped rock banks surrounding deep troughs positioned near water sources. Archaeologists remain divided about their primary purpose, proposing cooking, bathing, textile work or even brewing. The wet locations suggested self-filling troughs, while the isolated placement implies seasonal hunting camps rather than permanent villages.

In pasture, on S side of stream and immediately N of ringfort (CO051-036----). Heavily overgrown mound of burnt material (10m N-S; 10m E-W). Possible fulacht fiadh (CO051-037002-) c. 70m to E.
