In marshy ground, adjacent to road. Semicircular mound of burnt material (13.9m NE-SW; 11.5m NW-SE; H 1.4m); surface uneven. Mound possibly disturbed by roadworks. Second fulacht fiadh (11494) c. 80m to SW and third (11495) c. 50m to SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
