In marshy ground, on steep NNE-facing slope. Horseshoe-shaped mound of burnt material (12m N-S; 15.8m E-W; H 0.9m); opening (Wth 3m) faces W. Section of E side of mound projects 4-5m forming third 'arm' at rear. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
