Fulacht Fiadh

In pasture, c. 23m NW of well. Horseshoe-shaped mound of burnt material (13.4m NE-SW; 11.6m NW-SE; H 0.7m); opening (Wth 2m) faces NNW. Probably one of ten fulachta fiadh (see CO015-182---) recorded in townland by Bowman (1934, 72-3). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
