Hot stones cracked and hissed in the central pit, forcing clean water through rock and into the waiting vessel. People gathered on the marshy ground south of the stream to cook, clean or share heat before the linked moated settlement drew them nearer. The C-shaped mound still holds fire-fractured stone and black earth, preserving the sudden violence of water meeting heat.

On marshy ground to the S of a small stream. This fulacht fia is defined by a well-preserved C-shaped mound (14.8m NE-SW; 0.9m max.) with a central depression opening to the NW.
