Excavated (00E0198) as Area 24 of the N25 Kilmacthomas re-alignment. Situated on the N side of a little E-W valley, c. 10m N of a small E-W stream and c. 300m E of its conjunction with the NNW-SSE Mahon river. A subtriangular burnt mound (dims. c. 8m x c. 8m; H 0.3m) has an associated subrectangular trough (dims. 1.6m x 1.5m; D 0.7m) that was lined with stones on the S (downslope) side. Three areas of burning (diam. c. 1m) located c. 4m upslope from the burnt mound are interpreted as hearths. Burnt mound (WA015-099----) is c. 25m to the E. (Noonan 2002; 2008)
