Situated on flat poorly drained land which was overgrown by bog with nearby fulachtaí fia (TN036-050023/032) 60m N and 90m to the SW respectively. The site was revealed during topsoil stripping and consisted of a ploughed-out spread (dims. 12m N-S x 11m E-W; 0.1m D) of burnt material covering a sub-oval trough (dims. 1.91m N-S x 21.78m E-W x 0.23m D) which had a fill of burnt material with occasional large cobbles and a possible hearth feature 1.45m to the N of the trough.
