Located c. 120m from the River Shannon at a point where it runs NW-SE, and on the line of the N4 roadway. Archaeological excavation (94E0123) in advance of roadworks uncovered an irregularly shaped pit (dims c. 2.2m x c. 1.5m; max. D c. 0.35m) filled with broken and burnt stone. It was associated with a hut-site (LE031-104002-) that was immediately to the NW.
