What is recorded here
First identified in an unpublished archaeological LiDAR report (Davis, 2015) commissioned by Roscommon County Council as part of the Environmental Impact Assessment for the N5 Ballaghaderreen - Scramoge road development. It is situated in pasture at the bottom of a S-facing slope with a small W-E stream c. 18m to the S. This is a low, grass-covered and horseshoe-shaped mound (dims 11.5m N-S; 8m E-W; max. H 0.2m), which curves around an opening (dims 4m N-S; 2.2m E-W) at S. However, a composition of burnt stone material cannot be confirmed.
