What is recorded here

Situated on a flat tract of land 15m from the edge of a bog in a low-lying position, in a reclaimed field. Visible as a low, roughly circular mound (dims. 21m N-S; 24.6m E-W; H 0.6m) which slopes very gradually towards the external ground level. The mound is composed of burnt stones, ash and charcoal. According to the landowner the site was ploughed over during land reclamation. The landowner also mentioned that a similar site has been noted in the field to the W which was also reclaimed, but there is no visible trace of this site and the exact location is unknown.
