What is recorded here

Situated on a break in a SE-facing slope in undulating pastureland, with earthwork site (TN011-023----) immediately to E. The site (diam. c. 38.2m NW-SE) has been levelled but the outline of a curving bank (Wth 6.5m; int. H 0.43m; ext. H 0.3m) is visible at S and N and to a lesser extent at E. The site is transected by a NW-SE field boundary and the interior slopes to the W. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 10 January 2012
