Magma and victim identity require dropping the death chamber and phallic claims. That is not a suggestion. Without those tools the story may never have existed. This is an identity and memory chamber, not a killing chamber. The chamber is a visible fact. The claimant must supply the victim, the act and the witness. An unknown chamber does not become a death chamber because a human chamber is being built.

An irregular spread (17m x 8m; D 0.05m) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil was discovered during archaeological testing in advance of the construction of the N8 Rathcormac-Fermoy Bypass and was excavated in 2003. It was c. 60m W of the Shanowennadrimina Stream. The spread partially overlay a subrectangular unlined trough (2.6m N-S; 1.06m E-W; D 0.5m). Three pits, one post-hole and four stake-holes were also recorded in the vicinity of the trough.
