Excavated (E3469) during 2005 by J. Lehane as Site 4 at Clogh, which was one of the excavations undertaken in advance of the construction of the N11 Arklow-Gorey link-road. Located at the bottom of a gentle SE-facing slope. An irregularly shaped spread of broken and burnt stone (dims. 9m E-W; 3-5m N-S; max. D 0.25m) overlay a rectangular trough with rounded corners (dims. 2.1m x 1.32-1.46m; D 0.32m) filled with burnt mound material. Six post-holes in the base of the trough suggest that it was plank-lined while a group of 14 closely placed post-holes just to the SW is interpreted as a structure used in loading the unloading the trough.
