What is recorded here

Caherbarnagh holds a buried cooking pit where hot stones once crashed into water to boil food or bath the body. The mound still lies beside the stream, hidden under grass and forgetfulness. People may have gathered there in darkness, listening for the roar of boiling water beneath the soil.

In rough grazing, on E side of stream. Heavily overgrown mound (14.53m NW-SE; H 1.45m); shape not determined. Recorded by O Duinnín (1985, map opp. p. 88).
