Towards the bottom of a SW-facing slope. Archaeological excavation (E3269) during 2007 at Ardagawna 2 as part of the Athlone to Ballinasloe N6 road development revealed a burnt mound (dims 6.5m N-S; 3.7m E-W; T 0.12m) overlying a trough (dims 3.65m E-W; 1.1m N-S; D 0.5m) with 24 stake-holes W of the trough.
