4th Battalion Leinster Regiment Memorial

Memorial

What is recorded here

Millview Memorial Park holds a Hiberno Romanesque monument unveiled in 1928 for one hundred seventy-seven Leinster Regiment soldiers lost in the Great War. Thomas Scully shaped the freestanding stone, but workers moved it in 2001, breaking its original alignment without diminishing the names cut into it. A later panel widened the promise to every Irish person killed in later wars and United Nations service. The park still gives those names a place where breath can pause instead of passing the road.
4th Battalion Leinster Regiment Memorial is recorded as a memorial in County Laois. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
