Freestanding fountain, dated 1866, on a circular plan. Set back from line of road on a corner site.
An obelisk-topped ""Pickelhaube""-like fountain erected 'by subscription' representing an important component of the mid nineteenth-century built heritage of County Kilkenny. NOTE: A lichen-covered panel gives the name of the landlord as Gervase Bushe (d. 1879) of Cloghala House and the 'designer and arranger' as Thomas Seigne (d. 1874) of Kilfane Cottage.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
