What is recorded here

Remains of wall-mounted fountain, extant 1881, including benchmark-inscribed drag edged dragged cut-limestone frontispiece with dragged cut-limestone "Cavetto" cornice. Now disused. Lane fronted.
The remains of a fountain representing an interesting component of the nineteenth-century built heritage of New Ross: meanwhile, a benchmark remains of additional interest for the connections with cartography and the preparation of maps by the Ordnance Survey (established 1824).
