Former Greenhill Fort — Report the wrong picture

The 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map records this 'Fort'. No trace of it is now visible. The site is a grassed-over, flat-topped, platform of rock, sub-circular on plan and measuring c. 20m N-S and c. 23m E-W. There are sharp falls to the N and E but lesser ones to the S and W. Sited in undulating pasture land. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.'
