Thirty-seven-span "clapper bridge" or footbridge over river, extant 1878, on a cranked L-shaped plan. Sited spanning Bunleemshough River.

A lengthy "clapper bridge" or footbridge erected by John Alexander, Secretary of the Society for the Protection of Rights of Conscience (appointed 1863), not only widely accepted as an important component of the nineteenth-century built heritage of County Mayo, but also surviving as an interesting relic of the so-called "Colony" or "Colony of Jumpers" following the demolition (1927) of the nearby proselytising Bunlahinch Church (Bunlahinch) (1852-3).
