What is recorded here
Reference in the Journal of Association for the Preservation of the Memorials of the Dead, Ireland' (1901, 7-8) about an 'old font' with an inscription on it which was found in the churchyard at Clonmelsh (CW012-024001-) and placed inside the church. Church completely overgrown when inspected by ASI in 1988 and it was not possible to ascertain if this was still present.
