Kilgobban church stands 125m above the Tralee Bay shore, its oval limestone font marked W COLLIS RECTOR 1729. That much is clear. What is less certain is how often bay water climbed the grass beside the graveyard, how children ran past the font to reach the tide, or whether Collis chose the stone because it survived earlier storms. The font still fits its chamber, unbroken and patient, while the sea keeps taking back what the land forgets.

The parish church (KE036-016001-) and graveyard (KE036-016002-) of Kilgobban/Cill Gobáin lie about 125m from the sea-shore on the S side of Tralee Bay.
