Folacht Fiadh is a fulacht fia, a semicircular mound of burnt material stretching 22 metres through marshy ground beside a stream in County Cork. People heated water there to cook venison or cleanse tools, sending steam across the wet land while a holy well waited two hundred metres away. The mound still rises eighty centimetres above the moss, preserving the shape of repeated fire and patience.

In marshy ground, to NE of stream. Low, semicircular mound of burnt material (L 22m; Wth 12m; H 0.8m); slight indentation on N side. Holy well (13946) c. 200m to NNW.
