Double-arch road bridge, built c.1840, spanning Skournagh River. Dressed sandstone walls with rock faced limestone voussoirs to segmental-headed arches. V-cutwaters to upstream elevation. Concrete capping to parapet.
A fine nineteenth-century bridge, now carrying substantially more and heavier traffic than its original designers could have imagined, which is a testament to the skill of those involved in its construction. The contrasting sandstone walls and limestone voussoirs add colour and textural interest.
