Field system in Lackaroe

In rough pasture, on the saddle of a ridge extending SE from Curramore Hill. This system of relict field walls covers an area c. 130m NE-SW x c. 80m SE-NW following a gentle slope downhill to the SW. It consists of several collapsed drystone walls (T 0.8m; H 0.3m) which form a number of small irregularly shaped fields. An enclosure (KE093-051002-) and a cashel (KE093-051----) occur in the NE section of the system. Three of the field boundaries abut the cashel and appear to be contemporary with it.
